Designed for theater, opera and dance works at UMass, in western Massachusetts and leading companies in New York, Miami, San Francisco, Houston, St. Louis, Los Angeles, Santa Fe, Boston, Cairo and London. Designed dance works for the Metropolitan Opera Ballet, The Santa Barbara Ballet, The Dayton Ballet and the National Ballet of Chile. Scenic artist and assistant art director film credits include Jonathan Demme's Married to the Mob and Martin Scorcese's Goodfellas and New York Stories. Member of the gold medal-winning entry exhibited at the 1991 Prague Quadrennial, and his students' work represented the USA at the 1999 Prague Quadrennial. His reviews of puppet performances and events have appeared in The Puppetry Journal.

Co-authored, co-designed and directed Archipelago of Delight; designed: Love in Disguise, The Tempest and Our Country's Good for UMass Department of Theater; Richard III at Shakespeare & Company; Four of a Kind and Jitta's Atonement for Berkshire Theatre Festival; Kiss Me Kate at GeVa and StageWest; Spring Awakening, Yerma, Medea, Angels in America-Millenium Approaches for Williams College; Don Giovanni for Santa Fe Opera; La Belle Helene for Opera Theater of St. Louis; Mary Queen of Scots, Tosca for New York City Opera; Hansel and Gretel for Texas Opera Theater. Other designs for opera companies across the U.S. include The Rake's Progress, Carmen, Der Rosenkavalier, Macbeth, Die Fledermaus, La Boheme, The Magic Flute.
